More on track opportunities

True Heroes Racing competes at a Club level too, in conjunction with the North Gloucester Road Racing Club.

True Heroes Racing is proud to partner with North Gloucester Road Racing (NGRRC), one of the largest motorcycle racing clubs in the UK with over 600 competing members. They organise a race series at many of the Country’s top permanent race circuits and are known for nurturing young riders to compete at higher levels.

North Gloucester Road Racing Club

Formerly North Gloucestershire Motor Cycle Club, they are one of the UK’s largest operating clubs, organising, promoting and running motor cycle race events at all major UK circuits.
They have club championships for all sizes, makes and models of machines from the post classic era through to modern Superbikes and everything in between.
Their aim is to provide an end to end racing experience in a friendly, professional environment for customers just starting out on their racing journey through to seasoned, International license holders.

Even though the North Gloucestershire Road Racing Club is a lower level of racing, it is still just as competitive. This is where the team did their first race prior to going to the British Superbikes and we have competed with a team ever since. You will see the riders, who also attend the British Superbike Championships as support crew, all ride in True Heroes Racing livery. This programme provides ex-Armed Forces personnel with an opportunity to benefit from the team’s extensive knowledge and experience in motorcycle racing at the highest level. All these riders have their own bikes and have previous experience riding and/or racing at club level. This programme isn’t funded by True Heroes Racing but is supported by many of our Sponsors from a product and service perspective. Not everyone who is part of the BSB team is able to or wants to ride a bike, you will often see some of the other team members go and join the riders for the weekend and help out on the bikes or just go for respite at a slower pace that’s more relaxed.

Gaining experience

Our Club team riders are able to gain valuable experience through our dedicated mentor Dave Mackay, as well as from the skilled BSB riders. It’s through this training and guidance that they develop the skills and knowledge necessary to compete. We are proud to support and empower our riders in their pursuit of success on the track.

A window into our world

Prospective beneficiaries frequently come to the NGRRC circuits to connect with the team. It’s an excellent chance to get a sense of what we stand for, free from any pressure to perform in a national racing championship. We provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all beneficiaries, regardless of their physical mental barriers. We’re not just about racing, we’re about building a community of true heroes who inspire and empower one another.
