We are committed to breaking barriers and challenging perceptions showing that, with determination and support, anything is possible. At True Heroes Racing we understand the incredible sacrifices and challenges faced by our Armed Forces personnel and Veterans. We believe that the adrenaline and camaraderie of motorcycle racing can provide a sense of purpose and drive for those who have given so much to our Country. Our team is not just about racing – we are a family. We will always be there to support each other, no matter what. Through our events and activities we aim to raise awareness of the amazing individuals on our team and the incredible potential they possess.

Our mission

Our mission is to Engage, Empower and Inspire individuals from disabled and disadvantaged communities through comprehensive training, mentoring and support. We enable their active participation in motorsport alongside able-bodied competitors, teams and Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) UK Armed Forces personnel and Veterans. By fostering teamwork and camaraderie we champion social inclusion, nurture meaningful connections and celebrate shared experiences. Our aim is to create a supportive and empowering environment where everyone has the opportunity to flourish and reconnect with their sense of purpose.

The mission is guided by several core values:

Inclusivity: We believe in creating a space where everyone—no matter their ability or background—is welcomed and valued. This commitment ensures that both disabled and disadvantaged individuals, alongside able-bodied competitors and military personnel, can experience the thrill of motorsport together.
Empowerment: At the heart of our mission is the drive to empower individuals through training, mentoring, and unwavering support. We help people discover new strengths and build the confidence to overcome life’s challenges.
Teamwork and Camaraderie: We cultivate a spirit of collaboration that bridges differences. Whether on the track or off, fostering genuine connections and shared experiences strengthens community bonds and highlights the transformative power of collective effort.
Mentorship and Growth: Continuous learning and personal development are essential. Our approach encourages mentorship and skill-building, propelling participants toward their fullest potential while inspiring them to support one another.
Resilience: We celebrate the ability to overcome adversity. By creating an environment that emphasises perseverance and determination we help individuals rediscover their purpose and push past limitations.
These core values not only shape our mission but also serve as the foundation for the supportive, dynamic community we strive to build—one where every member can thrive and achieve meaningful transformation.

Building on these values, we find that sharing personal success stories and measurable outcomes can further inspire and empower those involved.

Our History

Back in 2012,

True Heroes Racing was founded with a mission to support and empower Wounded, Injured, and Sick UK Armed Forces personnel and Veterans through the world of motorcycle racing by Royal Navy Warrant Officer Phil Spencer. The team competed in its first race meeting that same year with a single bike, a double amputee rider and a very small support crew made up of injured UK Armed Forces personnel. That first race was with North Gloucester Road Racing Club at the Castle Combe circuit. The following year, the team broke new ground, making a name for itself, competing in the prestigious British Superbike Championships in the single-make Triumph Triple Challenge.

Year after year,

True Heroes Racing has been able to experience continuous growth thanks to the unwavering support of our loyal sponsors and the wider community. This continued support has allowed us to expand our organisation and fund even more initiatives for our beneficiaries. As we continue to grow, we are able to offer even more unique opportunities for Wounded, Injured, and Sick UK Armed Forces personnel and Veterans to participate in True Heroes Racing. Our ever-increasing number of initiatives truly showcases the dedication and passion of our team to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have served our Country.

Today,

Our unwavering mission has only strengthened over time. It brings us incredible joy to see our team and the number of individuals we are able to Engage, Empower and Inspire expand. We are constantly amazed by the impact we are able to make through our direct and indirect support to those who have served and sacrificed for their Country. Our passion for helping our courageous heroes remains at the core of everything we do.
