Our activities on the track enable us to offer opportunities for wider support to Wounded, Injured and Sick UK Service personnel undergoing treatment and rehabilitation off the track too.
In support of the Defence Military Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) at Stanford Hall (and previously DMRC Headley Court before it closed in late 2018) True Heroes Racing offer opportunities for military patients undergoing rehabilitation to attend British Superbike Championship race events as our VIP guests.
These off track activities form 3 purposes; firstly to provide the patients and their families with a high adrenaline VIP day as our guests at the British Superbike Championships. A high profile and enjoyable event well away from the medical rehabilitation centre ward they are residing at.
Secondly, it offers the opportunity for the patients to engage with, and be inspired by, the achievements of the members of True Heroes Racing. Hopefully proving to them that their injury, sickness or disability does not have to limit their lifestyle choices.
Finally, the DMRC rehabilitation staff use the patient's attendance at the British Superbike Championship race events as part of their holistic rehabilitation. They are able to safely re-introduce them into the public domain, building confidence at large scale public events, that are still safely contained within the boundaries of the race circuit itself.
