Our Associated Rider programme kicked off in 2020, it was born out of desire to promote our message to a wider demographic without any financial commitment from the core organisation. 2023 sees a huge expansion to the Associate Rider Programme
British Superbike Championships
In 2020, our inaugural rider Harrsion Mackay, who is the step son of our Superstock 1000 rider Dave "Salty" Sellers, started the programme. Harrsion competes in the British Talent Cup and this enabled the organisation to increase its visibility to a wider audience. For 2023, Harrison can be seen riding with Wilson Racing but still supports the team.
James, is the son of one of our beneficiaries Dan who joined the team last year. Dan is joining the Grass Roots project whilst his son competes for the first time at the British Superbike Championships under our banner. You can see James in the True Heroes Garage with the other riders.
NG Road Racing is one of the largest road racing clubs in the UK with over 600 competing members.
We run a Championship Series at the country’s top permanent circuits.
They are also renowned for bringing young riders through the levels. They are run on a voluntary basis by a hard core of enthusiasts who want to see the sport of motor cycle road racing continue to flourish in the UK.
True Heroes Racing started its journey at NGRCC and we are proud to continue the partnership in 2023.
This year we have 5 Associate Riders competing at NGRRC across different classes. You will also often see our BSB veteran riders competing at these championships as well as mentoring both the Grass Roots and Associate riders.
In conjunction with NGRRC the Associate Rider programme, has become an extension of our Grass roots programme where we are enabling more ex service personnel the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience the team has gained at the highest level in Motorcycle racing. All of these riders have their own bikes and have ridden and/or raced at club level before.
